By causing constant stimulation of the pituitary , it decreases pituitary secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) . Like other GnRH agonists , triptorelin may be used in the treatment of hormone-responsive cancers such as prostate cancer or breast cancer , precocious puberty , estrogen-dependent conditions (such as endometriosis or uterine fibroids) , and in assisted reproduction .
Triptorelin Usage: Triptorelin is usually given as an injection at your doctor's office, hospital, or clinic. If you will be using triptorelin at home, a health care provider will teach you how to use it. Be sure you understand how to use triptorelin. Follow the procedures you are taught when you use a dose.
